Technical and business leadership
Alex Zimbounellis
Technical Director and Business LeadAlex provides business and technical leadership across Fire Protect Systems. Having helped build FPS from the ground up, he oversees the direction of the business and the integration of inspection, testing, maintenance, Fire Safety Assessment, Minor Works and remedial project delivery.
Holding a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management and a Graduate Diploma in Fire Safety Engineering, Alex combines construction and commercial understanding with specialist fire safety knowledge. This allows him to consider technical requirements within the broader context of design, buildability, project delivery, operational constraints and long-term system performance.
Alex is a NSW-accredited Fire Safety Assessor and contributes to the wider fire protection industry through his involvement with the Fire Protection Association Australia NSW State Committee and Technical Advisory Committee TAC/1.

How we work is part of what we deliver
Any contractor can list services. The difference shows in how work is planned, how problems are raised, how records are kept and what happens when something goes wrong.
Safety first, always
No shortcuts. No exceptions.
Integrity in everything
Say what you'll do. Do what you say.
Client partnership
No surprises. Stand behind the work.
Resilience and courage
Hold the line when it matters.
Teamwork and accountability
One team. Own your part.
Continuous improvement
Better every job. Better every year.
Operational and commercial excellence
Run it well. Deliver it properly.
The record is the product.
Documented work must stand up for the client, the certifier and everyone relying on it.
Credentials for procurement
FPS holds third-party certification to three international standards, accredited by JAS-ANZ. The certified scope covers installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, auditing and annual fire safety statement inspections of essential fire safety systems.
