Understand your building's fire compliance position
A completed service report is not always the full picture. FPS reviews the records, systems, defects and responsibilities around your building and gives you a documented baseline and a prioritised way forward.
-
When a review is worth doing
- Taking over a building or portfolio
- Changing fire service providers
- Preparing for an AFSS cycle
- Incomplete or inconsistent records
- Long-standing defects
- Insurer or executive review
- After a major fit-out or refurbishment
- Planning a rectification or capital works programme
- Before a sale or acquisition
-
What we review
- Fire Safety Schedules and previous AFSSs
- Routine servicing records and asset registers
- Open defect registers and rectification evidence
- Fire engineering reports and performance solutions
- Occupation and fire safety certificates
- Block plans and system documentation
- Contractor responsibilities and upcoming dates
A practical report, not another checklist
The report states what was reviewed, what the evidence shows, what is missing and what should happen next. It does not give an absolute compliance guarantee where information is incomplete or specialist assessment is still needed.
Your report can include
- Current-state summary
- Documentation and evidence gaps
- Outstanding servicing and unresolved defects
- Areas needing further investigation
- Responsibility and coordination gaps
- Prioritised actions and next steps
Review questions
Is a compliance review the same as an AFSS assessment?
No. A review examines the available position and identifies gaps. Fire Safety Assessment is the accredited practitioner activity that verifies each measure for the statement.
Can FPS fix what the review finds?
Where the work is within FPS capability and licensing, we can provide a separate proposal. Where another specialist is needed, the report says so.
Can you review a whole portfolio?
Yes. Findings are consolidated so you can separate isolated site issues from systemic contractor, process or equipment problems.
